As Program Director, you have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and sustainable development of MICRA Indonesia. As such, you will have overall responsibility for the MICRA’s program performance during a critical period of growth and ensure its development into a profitable, well-balanced, and diversified organization.

Within the organization, you will play a key role in each MICRA program including projects, strategic planning, design and implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. Externally, as the principal spokesperson, you will support the Executive Director to develop the institution’s corporate image, representing the institution, and liaising with strategic partners to raise funds and build relationships.

The candidate’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  1. Lead and manage MICRA Indonesia’s program;

  2. Establishes high-level relationship with the business community and promotes an appropriate senior relationship with major clients;

  3. Provide expertise, information, advice, and counsel concerning the affairs of the institution to the Executive Director MICRA Indonesia to ensure all program and operational activities;

  4. Managing day-to-day all programs and projects and make sure they are running well as the plan.

  5. Building the corporate culture of the institution;

  6. Training and mentoring of staff if needed



  1. Broad intellectual background with master and/ or bachelor degree in development study, social science, business, Finance, or related subject

  2. Minimum seven (7) years working experience;

  3. Minimum two (2) years proven experience in Program Manager role (managing a team);

  4. Demonstrated experience in successful fundraising with donors, government agencies;

  5. Advance knowledge of a wide range of microfinance sector, community empowerment, poverty alleviation, social-economic of agriculture and improving SMEs capacity in Indonesia;

  6. Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to third parties and staff;

  7. Ability to meet reporting expectations of the clients and well presented,

  8. Excellent decision-making skills;

  9. Strong leadership and team-building skill and experience with the ability to develop and maintain a management team;

  10. Excellent organization, delegation, performance management, administration, analytical, influencing, negotiation, and time management skills;
